New Tattoo in the works

I have made the appointment and next week I will be getting a new tattoo on my arm. It will be a half sleeve so it will cover my entire arm from shoulder to elbow. I already have a half sleeve on my other arm with my mothers portrait and now this new tattoo will be for my son I gave away and my son that I have with me.

My idea is a weeping willow, with the leaves blowing in the wind, in the tree branches as they are stretching out in the wind one will spell out my sons name that I gave up for adoption and another one of my son who is with me. Then there will be two boys sitting together under the tree, next to each other.

I came up with this idea just the other day and it felt right to me. At first I wasn't sure if I should have both names then though of course I should. No matter what, my son is still my son and he is apart of me.

I'm anxious to get it started and can't wait for the appointment.

I really wanted to share that here....everyone has been amazing and honestly, through this hard time I dont how I could or would have been able to deal with the most recent strings of emotions

I just came across this post today and wanted to tell you that it sounds beautiful. I adore the idea of the two boys sitting together... Our son's first mom has an older son who she parents, and I often think of him and hope that the boys will know each other as brothers as they grow up.

Anyway, I hope you got the tattoo (or at least got it started). I'd love to see a pic when it's done.

I like the image of the tree very much, and of course you should include your placed son's name as part of your family tree. Would love to see a pic of this when it is finished.
