Eye Popping Re. Kathy

Hey All!

I just heard from Kathy. Whatever she broke (don't know yet if it's her ankle or her leg); she did it good!

She's being operated on tomorrow.

I am going to call her and get details to pass along if anyone is interested.

Hugs for now!

My goodness we're an accident prone bunch!

Please let her know she's in my thoughts and order her to get better soon! I've been thinking of her all morning...

Thanks for the update Janey, I appreciate it!

Poor boo! (I hope she didn't trip over Max or something!). Tell her I am thinking of her as well and I hope the operation goes well.

Wow, Janey, I didn't even know that Kathy had an accident. Whether it's her leg or ankle, it sounds painful to me. I hate surgery....especially orthopedic surgery.

Please give her my love, and tell her that she's greatly missed.

Paige, see what you have to look forward to when you reach your 50's, lol? I swear...I was never a clumsy person at all until I hit the "Big 50". I think it has something to do with needing reading glasses... Between the vision failing and the arthritis in the knees and hips, being 54 sucks...

Well then, I'm in trouble! Didn't I tell you about my escalator fall in February? At 45 I'm lucky I got away with the injuries I did! Falling down an escalator that is going up can be a very long fall!

Yikes for all of us!

Paige, it's a miracle you didn't seriously injure yourself in that fall on the escalator. It sounds so painful just to think about it. Those sharp edges on escalator stairs...yuck.

What I've discovered as I've gotten older is that many of the activities I enjoyed as a kid have finally caught up with me. I was a runner and high-jumper in track and field for years. Who knew that all that running and jumping would cause arthritis to show up years down the line? Whenever a new doctor looks at xrays of my knees, the first question he asks is if I was ever in track and field.

I feel like my body is betraying me... Getting old is for the birds, if you ask me.

When you talk to her next Janey, please tell her we are all thinking of her and she is to REST. Being the generous kind hearted soul that she is and always looking out for others, I know it'll be difficult for her. BUT..she MUST put herself first for now and I'm counting on you to get that message to her.

Crick You have my word I will tell her! ((( Crick and everybody )))

Paige I feel terrible. You told me about your fall and I never announced it here. :-(

I feel like you sort of got gipped on the hugs and stuff after your accident.

((( Paige ))) And Raven's right.....you could've been really hurt!

We all need a vacation or to find a way to be 30 again!

LOL!

Janey - If we're gonna turn back the clock, I vote for the early 20s. I used to be able to dance all night and then get up for work two hours later! I could run or jog forever, and I was a champion bodysurfer. Ah, the good old days...

There you go...talking about the early 20s...now I'm going to be thinking about the backseat of muscle cars again!

And, Janey, no worries...I was so embarrassed, it would have made it worse at the time! Now, I can laugh about it!

AWW..please give her my best. Thats lousy she broke her leg.

Hoping for aquick recovery.

No broken bones yet for this 51 year old....as I duck for cover, make thesign of the cross, and shush away all evil spirits! Wearing progressive glasses...now that ticks me off. I hads the best eyesight until a few years ago, then needed reading glasses and the eye doc talked me into progressives...I swear my far away sight got worse because of dependence on the glasses.

Get better soon!
