What term do you prefer to call your child/children you placed?

We've discussed before what title/term we prefer being called in reference to bmom, firstmom etc., but what title/term do you use to refer to your child/children that you've placed for adoption?

We have the standard, birth daughter, birth son, birth children, or son, daughter, children (that you placed), but what other terms do you use or prefer or have you used or heard of?

I call him my son now...
For a long time he was 'the baby'
As in...'I'm feeling really down because of, you know, the baby.'

Sometimes I refer to him here as my bson... but that depends on if I'm posting under someone who's relative new here or not...

On the forums, I call him my son - for clarity - If I knew his name, I'd call him by his name.

Before I met my daughter I always refered to her as "my baby". Now I referet to her as "My daughter".

I know that adoption stoped me from being her only mother but I feel she is MY daughter in spite of the adoption.

Despite what the Angry Canadian Troll posted in a comment on my blog earlier this month, she is my daughter. When necessary to clarify, I will. When writing on my personal spaces, I don't. When talking with/to her, I refer to her by name.

She is now and forever will be My daughter. IRL, online, in my blog, etc. I call her Supergirl when around her. (well her name just won't tell it here)

He is my son, plain and simple. On here I call him kiddo.

1-4-2009 Mom and I visit Kiddo despite the bad weather. He really loved the blue mittens I made him and even helped me plan my living room. Apparently Hot Wheels wallpapper is the way to go.
2-16-2009 I got a promotion, that comes with a raise. Mom and Dad are visiting and we're going to Al's for pie to celebrate.
4-27-2009 Dad surprises me with a Lady Ugly Stick (an awesome fishing rod that is pink) and a 2nd Iowa Light Artillery Battery jacket. I'm a lucky girl!
5-30-2009 Kiddo turns five. It is hard to believe he is that old already, it seems like just yesterday he was being born. I was at peace for the first time on his birthday, what a nice feeling.
6-13&14 2009 A cannon live fire in Casper WY. We got third place and I got to see Devil's Tower for the first time, it was pretty awesome.
7-4-2009 Amelia the kitten comes to live with me and Liz. Talk about jealousy, Liz will adjust though.

She's my daughter. I will also call her Cupcake, but that probably wouldn't work for everyone

Now that I have a name, I use that... In my head (and here) he is my son and always will be.

I call them my son C.J. my daughter Amanda and my son Justin. I don't care what the legal system says I gave birth to them.
