I feel you. Hope you take advantage of the forumites here, they want you to find her as much as you do. As far as editing, you have one hour? to edit, then after that, you have to ask a moderator to do so.
Hang in there...and I'd try Facebook

The problem with Reunion.com, if I recall correctly, is that in order to get your emails, you have to sign up, some fees involved. So my guess is that the emails were not received. At least with myspace/facebook, you know they are checking it, and it is free. I would compose your most "awesomist" letter and send it via these avenues. I found my daughter through Facebook, and it took me 3 weeks to write my letter...with a little help from the ladies here.
Good Luck!

That's true, if I recall, I don't even know if Reunion.com will tell you who wrote to you unless you pay a membership fee. So it is possible that her mom doesn't know you wrote.

Try the free sites (Facebook/Myspace) send a letter, and cross your fingers. Be prepared for everything and nothing at the same time. It's scary, but remember there is no rush, take the time you need to prepare yourself and do it at your pace when you feel comfortable.

Good luck!

Hey there!

I think "Brown" and "XDad" have it right when they say it may take you some time to comprise a letter. In fact, I would advise to do so as your feelings must be coming at you so quick right now and it's hard to get a grasp on all of them (at least I know it would be for me). Perhaps stepping back a bit and thinking on what you want to say and how to say it is a really good thing in the midst of all the powerful emotions that come with this stuff.

I got scammed by someone through reunion.com. It was a nightmare (though that wasn't the sites fault).

Also, if her mom isn't returning your letters then the direct approach might be best anyway.

Keep us posted okay?

Much peace your way,
