Looking for a sister

Do you know what state your sister was born in? DO you know what year she was born? I was born 11-21-74 in Illinois. Could I be the sister you are looking for? Please let me know. You can email me at Nicki.Stephenson@verizon.net

Thanks,
Nicki

Question Did you find her?

I was searching through archived posts and I ran across yours. Did you ever find your sister. I am searching for birthfamily. Did your mom give birth in Texas in 1975? I would like to know more if this could be a match.

Thanks,

Alica

I also have a sister that was given up for adoption at birth. All I had when I first started searching was date of birth, name of hospital, and that the baby was a girl. I started searching for her when she turned 18. I searched for her for over six years.
I signed up at every adoption registry I could find online. I also signed up with the adoption registry of the state where she was born. I don't remember the site I went to but I ordered a kit called " The Locator " by Klunder & Dunn. That kit has a lot of advice on how to search and find someone you are looking for. I was blessed because a family memeber thought she might know my sisters name. So I took some advice from the kit I bought and I filled out a birth certificate form requesting my sisters birth certifcate with all of the information I had. After a few months I got something in the mail asking for a copy of my ID so that the birth certificate could be mailed out. Once I knew that all of the information matched up I started searching for her. It made things a little bit easier since I had a name to go along with the other information I had. After sometime I did find her.

Wink I found her!!!!! and alll the rest of them! YAY!

Thank you so much for the info, but fortunately I will not be needing it since I have located my birthfamily and and building a wonderful realtionship with them each day.

In August I located and contacted my mother and in January my sister contacted me and today I spoke to my brother for the first time on the phone. He is 15! I am 30!

Good luck to all that are still searching--have faith it will happen. After 8 years I am proof of that!

Red face Wonderful News!

I'm very happy to hear that you have found your birth family and are starting to have a wonderful relationship.
I'm also living proof that you can find your loved ones. It took me six years to find my sister. We have our ups and downs. I know this will just take time. I pray that over time things will get better.
