I had my son when I was 17 and was pressured by my parents to sign adoption papers so he could be a military dependent of my father for medical insurance. They told me throughout my pregnancy that they only needed temporary custody but after he was born they said they need full custody. I never understood it as adoption and terminating all the rights to my child. They said they would give him back to me. He is now 5 years old and I recently moved out expecting my son to come with me when they told me no. I have raised him and he knows me as his mother. I don't know what to do and I'm now finding out what it is that I signed and what it meant. I have talked to lawyers who say there is nothing I can do. If anyone can give me advice or is in a similar situation I'd appreciate feedback. I feel alone and I am going through so many emotions it's beginning to take over. I am constantly praying to the Lord for Him to make a path...I would appreciate prayers from anyone.
