Birth Certificates...Help please?

This looked like the best place to post this question. So, here goes. I gave birth to my son in New Mexico. The Aparents live in New York and took him home there. Here is my question. Will his birth certificate be from New York or New Mexico? When he gets a copy of his Birth Certificate, will he be able to know that he was adopted by looking at it?

I ask because I don't think the Aparents will tell him that he is adopted, so he won't search. But I am praying that he will be able to tell by looking at his birth certificate.

Does anyone know for sure??

I think it depends on when and where the adoption was finalized.

I believe more recent finalizations are issued an ABC in their state of birth, while in the past (50's, 60's & 70's) they were issued by the state of finalization.

If/when he has children, he should be able to tell he is adopted by looking at his ABC - It will be obviously lacking in information.

I also think it depends on where they finalize. We live in pa and adopted from ohio, we have ohio birth cert. but they look just like the original there is know diffrence in.
