So many wrong decisions, in my past I'm not quite sure..
If I could ever hope to trust my judgement anymore.
But lately I've been thinking, because it's all I've had to do. And in my heart I feel that I should give this child to you.

And maybe, you could tell your baby, when you love him so that he's been loved before.. By someone who delivered your son, from gods arms, to my arms to yours.

If he asks the question, and if he wants to know, just how the one who gave him life could bear to let him go.
Just tell him there were sleepless nights, I prayed and paced the floors, and knew the only peace I'de find is if this child was yours.

And maybe, you could tell your baby, when you love him so that he's been loved before. By someone who delivered your son, from gods arms, to my arms, to yours.

Now I know that you dont have to do this, but could kiss him once for me?
The first time that he ties his shoes or falls and skins his knee? And could you hold him twice as long when he makes his mistakes?? And tell him that he's not alone, sometimes that all it takes... I know how much he'll ache.

I'm not on a soapbox, saying how we all should all be. I'm just trusing in my feelings, and I'm trusting god above.
And I'm trusting you can give this baby...... both his mothers love.

This song is one that has helped me cope with giving up my son. It gives me strength, to know my son does have a mom that loves him, one that will hopefully let him know I love him too. One that loves him as much I do, which is why we let our children go in the first place. To have a better life than the one we could provide. We did our jobs as parents, it was our responsibility to ensure our childrens future and wellfare, even if it meant to let them go. We are the stong, the proud, the ones able to push our feelings aside in order to provide our children with a life they deserved, one we simply knew we could not give them ourselves. Let our children one day, realize the sacrifice we made for them, out of a love only a mother has for her child. God Bless You All!!!!

It is called "From gods arms to my arms to yours" by a singer named Michael McClean. My cousin is mormon and sent me his CD with that song on there. It was written and sung by a woman who gave up her child. There is another song on there that is from the adoptive mom to the birthmom that is beautiful as well. The music to that song is so moving, even 10 years later I cant listen to it without crying! Try an LDS bookstore or look on line, its a great CD, not really religious and all that but has great inspriational songs that helped me through some of my tough times. It is not a new CD, I received 10 years ago, but I know its out there available somewhere!
