Female adoptee Born 1965 (adoption finalized in Broward County Florida)
Are there any Florida Adoptees or Birth Families out there that have been REUNITED and compared adoptees amended birth certificate with adoptees original birth certificate ? If so, did you find that the informtion on both certificates was the same or different in the following areas..... birth certificate number birth date county city hospital Also has anyone received their unidentifying information and found that it contained false information ?

Yes, I have . . .
My NID contained bogus info about religious and background info. All my life I thought my parents were one thing and then come to find out the exact opposite. Hogwash I tell you!

Hi, I have a question, do you think the adoption agencys will ever give you false info about who your birth mom is when you e-mail them? have you ever heard of this? Can they also falsify documents? I e-mailed the agency where I was adopted and ask them a few questions, and to give me the first name of my birth mother and they did right away only the first name, but I don't think it is true, just and intuition I guess. I didn't pay them anything, the person just e-mailed me back and told me what I asked. Do you think they would lie so you can't find them. Thanks

Agencies, lawyers, facilitators, anyone involved in adoption is capable of lieing. Adoptees and/or natural moms have found many times that the info they were given or the info written about them wasn't the truth. I can't speak for them and say they did it to keep everyone from finding each other but it's a fairly good guess. The adoption registry here in my state won't release my dad's name to me but they were oh so kind enough to tell me that they have a current phone # for him and he lives about 20 minutes from where I grew up.
