Lia, You can drive yourself crazy sifting through the possible reasons with a fine tooth comb or you can just ask her. I've gone through some backlash from bfamily members found in my search since I'm the one who opened the can of worms so to speak. It takes strength to get the ball rolling and extra effort to keep it in motion over the bumps. Good luck!
