Lonni and Heidi, I really like the facts/timeline idea. That way she'll know what was happening purely based on the facts as I know them (if there are things holding back a meeting/letters like finalization, etc. I don't know about them).

Love, I handwrite a journal for A because I feel it's just so much more personal, but I don't write in it that often, just once in a while when I make a phone call or get a letter or hope to make a phone call or get a letter, or when I have a dream about her, etc. I didn't want to type my journal to her, but I do keep other thoughts typed out here and there.

Lynn, thanks for your thoughts! I love to hear what adoptees would like to have!

Okay, so maybe I will try to figure out this crazy world of blogging....

No need to steal it!! You can go ahead and use it.

I also use her journal for when I talked to L or E has talked to L and tells me about it. These way I can write down that "You wouldn't believe what you are doing now ...." I write in it when I get pictures to say which is my favorite, after a visit. Anything. I usually write "L sent the greatest picture of you. I cannot believe how much ....."

I put a lot of stuff like that in there L, like the "I can't believe how much you've growns" or "You should be crawling by now", stuff like that. Without the updates though all I can do is presume how much she's grown or what she should be doing....but that's okay.

And just FYI, thanks to your peer pressure I did begin to blog - terribly I'm sure, but it's out there!
