Foster/Adopt Mom, may I join you?
I just wanted to introduce myself and hope you don't mind if I join in. My name is Nancy and I am the mom of three, two sons ages 15 and 12 and one daughter, age three. We got our daughter at birth as a foster child and just finalized her adoption this past June. It was the most emotionally draining experience I have ever had and I am so relieved that it is finally over! We had no major problems, just a lot of ineptness on the state's part with things not getting done in time, etc. Bmom and Bdad actually were both absent nearly the whole time, neither ever visited with her (bmom was out of state from the time she was four months old) and it still took three looooooong years!
This seems to be a wonderful and supporitve forum and I hope you don't mind my joining in. Nancy
