My husband and I have just received our license and are now onto the waiting period to find our child and bring our child home. We are hoping to adopt 1-3 children ages 0-7yrs. We are leaning toward children with special needs. Does anyone have any ideas of what we could read up on during the waiting game? I feel like there is so much I could do but I don't know what that should be!
Any ideas would be great! What did you do besides worry and wait?!

Hi and Congrats! I would tell you to clean your house. Its not spring yet but clean clean clean. Finish some outstanding projects because your life will become super busy and even taking a shower will become a precious commodity.

I thought I was ready and during the process I was. Because it seemed as if the process took a little longer than I thought some projects piled up and I thought I had time to finish them. Yeah right.

After being approved and certified a week later we got our first placement right before Christmas...a drug exposed 4day old baby. Im still trying to catch up on those projects and we were recently placed with a sib set of 2. Those projects are gonna have to wait because I truly don't have the time now.

Enjoy the peace it will be over soon but in a good way.
