Getting excited....
Well, my husband and I recently found out that our FET did not work, and that was the last of the embryos. We talked a little bit about fostering and adoption and just kind of were weighing our options. I finally got some information yesterday on the orientation, training, homestudy process, etc and talked to a friend of mine that has fostered and then adopted 6 childen through the foster program. I felt a little overwhelmed at first, but then started getting excited at the prospect of having a child in our home (hopefully an infant). Well, today I finally decided to look at some baby stuff online. I did not ever really look at baby stuff through the whole IVF process (ya know, didn't want to jinx myself--lot of good that did me
). I have to say, I can hardly contain myself!! Looking at all of the "stuff" that goes into taking care of a little one has really got me going! I CAN'T WAIT to get licensed and get a litte one!! I'm sure you have all shared this feeling at some point. I just feel like there is a reason my husband and I are on this path, like we were meant to have a family through this route. Sorry I'm so rambly, just really getting excited! |
