How many children are you hoping to be certified for?

We are getting certified for max of 4 (only 4 if sibling group)...how about everyone else?

I am already licensed but I thought i would respond. We will probably never take more than 2 at a time, maybe three in an emergency but we are licensed for 6. I don't know where the agency thinks I am going to put 6 kids!!! I only have one toddler bed and one crib!

I'm not sure how many I'll be licensed for, but we can only take a maximum of 2. I have a minivan and already have a family of 5. 2 more will make 7 and it's a 7 passenger van.

We are only licensed for 2 for this same reason. Our licensor wanted to do it for 3 or 4, and I just said no!

I was wrong...we're certified for a max of 6...but we'll hopefully never take more than 3.

We would like to be licensed for 2..but are only willing to take in one since we would be new foster parents. We only have 2 more seats available in our vehicle.

Well we are just barely getting started, but I hope that we will be licensed for 3 or 4. I drive a Honda Pilot and as long as at least 1 was in a booster, I could fit 4 with my son. We have a three bedroom, and that would be 2 kids to a bedroom, or 3 in the larger one...all of which is reasonable I feel. We'll see

In TX you can have a max of 6 kids, no more than 2 babies under 2, including bios. I have a big house, a small car, and a thirteen yr old at home (plus 3 in their 20s who live on their own). Our license says 5 from 0-10. We've had 2 sib sets of 4 and our current sib set of 2. I do know that if we want to adopt a larger sib group, the state will make an exception to the 6 child limit rule.

It was hectic, but I have to tell you guys, I really enjoyed having the second set of 4. They were awesome kids, sweet, funny, always great to be with. The first set............um, no. But they were very, very emotionally damaged kids.

You never know what's going to happen in this adventure. And yes, sometimes it's very hard. But it's always very worth it!

We can have 8 children under 18. We currently are licensed for 4, but we have my bio daughter 14, 2 adopted sons 3, adopted daughter 1 and one foster 5 not adopted yet. So three more and my license (and limit) would be full. Once our foster daughter is adopted we will have to change our license to 3, so as to not go over the limit. We have two older children that do not live at home, so we actually have 7 children (and one grandson).

My husband said NO MORE children. hehe DHS called the other day to see if we would take another placement and hubby says "whatever you want to do, it's up to you". Do to behavior issues I did say no, but now I know the door is still open. Can't wait till they call with one that will blend with our flock. Are they really cheaper by the dozen?

We will be licensed for 2 under 2 and 4 under 5(6 kids all together). Although have been told to expect a waiver so that I can have 3 under 2, due to my experience with newborns, drugs, and medical issues.

We are only planning on taking in 2 or 3 at a time how ever..unless that super special set of siblings comes along
