Question for Texas foster parents--room requirements

As I said before I am just getting started. There has been two questions on this forum...so I am asking the Texas "folks" for their assistance. What Are the rules for beds in Texas. Are we allowed bunk beds? Are children (male/female) under a certain age allowed to sleep in the same room? Are trundle beds allowed here? Up to what age can and child sleep in a baby bed?

At dinner this evening, I disclosed to friends that I would be pursuing this calling...and I was given overwhelming support for boy and girls clothing and a baby bed. I knew they would be supportive but to see their faces light up made me believe that I can actually do this.

Bunk beds are ok, I have one. I don't know about trundle beds though. Kids 5 and under of opposite gender can share a room. Don't know what age can use the bunk beds though as my DD is 11 and any child in her room would be 5 + yrs old.

A child can stay in a baby bed at least until age 3, but longer if the situation warrants it. Case in point, my FD is very small and even a tot bed without the bars would be huge for her and she would have the potential of rolling off, so she can stay in a crib until such time as she is able to be safe in a bigger bed.Children can be in same room as parents until age 3. Children of same gender can be up to 6 yrs apart in age in same room.

Nice to hear you are receiving support form family and friends. It makes it so much easier to have that.
