Meeting our CW...

for the first time tomorrow afternoon! This is the guy that will be deciding what placements we get. Do any of you have any advice? Right now we have all of our infant stuff put up out of the way (we are taking infants 0-12 months). Should we have it out so he can see that we are soooooo ready for a placement?

It couldn't hurt! While I don't think it is "necessary" it might give him a more positive first impression of your preparedness. I always make tea and bake cookies, LOL

The cookies are a great idea! My kids and I will make them as soon as my daughter gets home from school tomorrow afternoon. Plus, then the house will smell like freshly baked cookies, which I'm sure also couldn't hurt.

I say yes have the Baby Stuff set up and ready. Our CW actually put in our home study that we had a nursery set up for a baby.

Cookies and Tea sound nice!!
I didn't do that but I did offer her some thing to drink and she declined. She said you would be surpirised at the places she goes and they don't offer her anything not even to use the restroom.

Good luck!

Okay, I'll definitely set up all of the baby stuff. We had the crib set up for the HS, so she saw that, but it is a different man that is our placement CW, so he can see the crib, swing, playpen, etc set up and ready for a placement. Who knows, maybe it will help! We've been told that we may wait for a while for an infant placement, so I'm going to do anything I can to help our odds.

Well, our meeting yesterday went well. Our SW seems to be really nice. He even did a follow up call to say thanks for letting him come to meet us and that we have a nice house! Now, time to wait for a placement!

Glad to hear your meeting went well. I remember how nervous I was when we had ours.
