Another question

Is it possible to be a short term, long term and permenant foster carer? I want to consider all of those options to help as many children as i can.
Another thing, is there a possibility to adopt a short term foster child?

Do you mean, is it possible that a child initially slated for short term would become adoptable? Yes, it happens. I know someone who took a child as a 72 hour emergency placement and ended up adopting her and year and a half later! Not quite sure what you mean by "permanent foster carer". MOST kids (except some older teens) usually go home, or are adopted. Generally, they try to avoid letting them age-out in foster care whenever possible.

Unfortunately, it does happen. My girls were in care for 2 years as babies. They came back into care at ages 7 and 8. Now they are 11 and 12. They are in permanent foster care and will age out of the system. The "new model" for the state they are from is to not terminate parental rights.
