New Homestudy?
Okay, little background info first: We are approved to foster adopt. We found out that the depts are 2 seperate places and adoptions has had our file without a placement since we've been approved for a year. Now, finally, after complaining, our file has been transferred to the foster care office.
The new SW came from foster care today and said that we need a new homestudy done? We just sent in the renewal paperwork to our previous sw that she requested a couple weeks ago for background checks and we already passed our fire inspection for the renewal. I am just confused as to why we need another home study. Any advice?

I think the person you talked with just didn't explain it clearly. In most states, each foster home has to be recertified each year. Some states are now on a two year cycle for recertification.
Glad it got straightened out.
