Good thing that they don't come to my house I would never be able to adopt - I also have 3 dogs and 2 of them shed enough to create a 4th one

LOL, You all made me feel MUCH better. I am a homeschooling mom of kids ages 4, 6 and 7, and that morning i had 3 kids ages 15 months, 4 and 6 dropped off at 630 am. 6 girls ages 7 and under in my care. Really there is only so much keeping up I could do.

The CW could not be more than 22 years old. SHe was REALLY young. I unnderstood when she said thebackyeard was a mess, since my dogs decided to shred their bed the night before.LOL But i was amazed. She said the OLCR people like white glove test the house for the saftery insepction. Im thinking "really???"

So I contacted a house cleaner today. She is coming over on the 22nd to clean baseboards, floors, doorframes and walls. Then the weekafter for windows, kitchen cabinets, ceeliing fans. Then i will have hercome monthly to keep up on thos besa boards. Seriously, it is worth it to pay someone 65 dollars a month to do that for me. I am just too musy being active in my kids' lives to worry about the small things.

And i had to laugh about the bird bath thing. That is crazy.... LOL

OOOOHHHH I wish I lived closer to you! We have to pay as much as $100/wk to get cleaning done at our house! Take that $65 deal! It is so worth it!

LOL I don't even have counters or a sink in my kitchen right now! My dogs tracked mud in all over when our LW came over for our homestudy. With every tail wag, dog hair fluffed into the air. I warned our SW that our kitchen is being remodeled, she said that was fine. I'd never pass if I had to have clean baseboards.

I read a few posts waiting for you to say, SIKE! If dusty baseboards are reason for comment, I would never have become a foster parent.

Give me a break.

I am laughing so hard. Dusty baseboards! Ugh . . . I feel like I've accomplished something if all the laundry is done (or shoved away in the hamper), the dishes are clean or put into the dishwasher and there are not obvious kid stains (crayon, marker, applesauce, vaseline - don't ask) on the walls when the social worker comes to visit. I wish someone would pull out a white glove in my house. I would definitely be writing their supervisor and asking for a social worker that had children, a little more experience, and understood what a house that actually has children living in it looks like.

Dusty baseboards...

Not to sound rude, but I am sure glad that I don't reside in your county. That woman is a fruit loop for telling you that your house must be immaculate at all times. She must not have children of her own. I have an alomost 11 month old and I am considered the "cleaning freak" of my family. I'll clean so much in one day to sit down and see my son clutter the whole entire house again. It's normal though! Funny thing is at our homestudy last year this time our county caseworker asked us if we were ready for kids because our house was too clean. She said with a smirk on her face..."Get ready!" "You're home will never look the same or at least until the kids have all grown and moved away." LOL!!!

My gosh-dusty baseboards! When we went to pick up our ason the carpet in the fhome was mildewed, not just dirty, and there was a dirty catbox in the living room. The cat urine smell made my eyes water.

I shudder to think what the rest of the house looked like-

and you got slammed for dusty baseboards? please!!!!

HA! We hired housekeepers to come twice a month recently. This Wednesday they came and cleaned my kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and laundry room. My floor looked so pretty. The next morning my 4 yr old FD dripped and spilled Orange Julius from one end of the kitchen to the other. So my shiny floors became my shiny sticky floors in less than 24 hours. Oh well. Such is life.

Oh, and we pay our housekeepers $68 per visit, too.
