Hi all, Im new here, and my husband and I will soon be doing our classes and completing a homestudy for foster/adoption. My question is, what are some of the things i need to do to pass my homestudy in the state of washington.

I'm not in WA, but most states require that you have a fire extinguisher (check with your state for size), medications up and locked away, knives out of reach, safety latches on lower cupboard doors and drawers (especially if containing chemicals), fire alarms in each room where a child will be sleeping, safety gates at top and bottom of all staircases, and other items.
I would recommend checking with your instructor who can give you a list of the specific items they will want done in your particular area. Good luck, and welcome aboard.
