Anyone move during or right after license??
My husband and I own (owe) a small condo in Orange County CA. We have only been here two years but are really unhappy with the lack of space (amongst other things) and really want to move. However, the first week of December we have our home inspection. Should we mention this to our worker? How does it work if we get licensed in this home and move before we are placed? It could be 1-2 years before we are placed and I really don't see us living here that long.
Any suggestions? thanks!

Mention it - they'll just need to do an update once the move takes place - just to make sure the new place is up to snuff.
We're doing it now...getting licensed in our current housing, with a plan to move in March/April ![]() It shouldn't be a problem ![]()

We moved to a new state and had to nearly start over. I think if you remain in the same state they only need to redo the actual home inspection portion.

Ah, what the above poster says is true - we moved from Illinois (a PRIDE state) to Arizona (A MAPP state) and have had to redo the entire process - they won't accept ANYTHING - even our medicals, which were done less than a year ago (Feb).

We moved from CA after having been licensed for several years (first respite and then foster) to FL and had to take EVERYTHING over. Even our specialized treainings didn't count. They actually wouldn't even talk to us until after we were "in residence" and it was 7 month later (we finished out MAPP classes in Feb) that we were finally licensed. We were licensed in June and in Feb got a packet for our annual relicense . . . . Intra state is no problem - Inter state is a nightmare.

Thanks for your input.
Fortunately we will be staying in CA. And, actually staying in our county. I was just wondering if it would make a huge difference in the process.
