Exclamation Questions

I am looking into fostering infants. my 15 yr old neice lives with me. its just me and her. i was woundering about how much money do you need to make and can you be a single parent? i would REALLY appreciate it if someone could answer my questions. thank you and god bless!

They never told us how much we needed to make, but they do look to see if you are able to pay your bills and survive on your money...because you will be getting a small amount for the foster child. (they just check to make sure youre not in this for the money)

and you can definitely be a single parent! Some children are actually better off matched with single parents.

yes you can be a single parent, you need to make enough money to pay all your bills and monthly expenses.

Hi! I'm a single foster parent to an infant. My fs was placed at birth and I'll be adopting hopefully in August. It depends on when they can get a slot with the judge.

You need to make enough to support yourself. The per dieum is intended to reimburse you for the cost of the caring for the child. Most people find that it isn't enough. With an infant you get WIC and that helps a lot. We will be losing WIC after the adoption because I make too much money. I'm a teacher but I have additional income. WIC pays for most of the formula you need ( approx. $100).
