anything that has to do with a sex crime or

children will most likely mean you will not be approved....drug related it will depend on how long ago and what it was, etc... so it depends and every agency is different...some are really picky over driving records even and others are not....

some white color crime will most likely not knock you out of the running....and it always depends on what mood the SW is that day

and . . .

it also depends how desperate they are for foster families at the time your app goes in.

I think it will depend on your state's agency. Don't be affraid to ask if your specific crime will prevent you from fostering before you start the process.

Ask your state agency. I know that in my class they said that young and foolish incidents can be overlooked depending on what the crime happened to be. Just be up front about everything.
