Are adult victims of child abuse prevented from becoming a foster parent?

We haven't seen any actual attempts to stop adult victims of abuse from becoming foster parents. There would be a little concern about breaking the cycle but if one has a good head on one's shoulders and well planned behavior management techniques, it shouldn't be a problem. Any hint that one would use corporal punishment would be of great concern. So, have a system of earned and lost privileges and a commitment to continued education and there should be no concern. |
