Hi My name is Dawn my DH is Bob we have a 3 yr old Black lab retriever our *baby*

We tried to concieve for over 6 yrs, we are still trying and we have been accepted as Foster Parents and as I speak I will be picking her up at school in a few minutes.

We originally said 0 to 5 yrs old but when they called and said they needed to place a 15 (will be 16 this week) girl my heart went out to her and I said YES.

I have been looking for a support board for Foster Care and ran across this one. I hope you will all welocme me with open arms and put up with my terriable typing and spelling. I can't wait to get to know you all

I would like to say welcome aboard!! I am new also. We are still
waiting for our first foster child but I have 3 bio children. I have
3 daughters 17,14, and 8 yrs old. I think it is really great that
you agreed to take the 15 yr old. Just remember teenagers
will try to push all of your buttons but the most important thing
is communication. There is alot of nights even school nights
that I have sat up with my daughters and just talked and if
they are willing to talk I am willing to listen anytime.
