how long does training normally take
This message was originally posted by ang711.
I am curious, i have got the information from the local state agency about foster care but i am wondering about how long does the training to become a foster parent normally take. If anybody could help me out i would appreciate it. Thank you. ![]() |

Between the training and the homestudies it could take months.....up to 6 months. The traingin can be quicker if they offer weekend sessions instead of weeknights. The process is long but worth it!!!!! Gwen |

From my experiance going through the training process, it takes about three months. The agency we went through had a five week training course, but with the background check and everything, it has taken about that long. I know you posted a month ago, but if you see this, I hope it helps. |
