how long does training normally take

I am curious, i have got the information from the local state agency about foster care but i am wondering about how long does the training to become a foster parent normally take. If anybody could help me out i would appreciate it. Thank you.

Between the training and the homestudies it could take months.....up to 6 months. The traingin can be quicker if they offer weekend sessions instead of weeknights. The process is long but worth it!!!!! Gwen

From my experiance going through the training process, it takes about three months. The agency we went through had a five week training course, but with the background check and everything, it has taken about that long. I know you posted a month ago, but if you see this, I hope it helps.
