My close friend may be adopting soon. This little angel will be their first child. Does anyone have some ideas for their new little girls baby shower? It has been awhile since I have given a baby shower.

Since you know it's a girl, there are lots of things you can do with color schemes and giveaways to keep to the pink theme.

IMO, the most important part of any shower is the FOOD! What are you serving? Is it a brunch? Wine and cheese? Healthy salads and a sparkling, non alcoholic punch? Finger foods?

If your friend is adopting internationally, it might be fun to use that as the theme of the shower. For example if the was of asian decent ... goodie bags with fortune cookies and chopsticks may be fun as well as serving asian type foods. decorating oriental style can be a lot of fun also. just a thought.. have fun.

Thread is quite old but my post may help some one else, choosing a gift for infant is quite tough, you can not compromise with quality, the best thing for babies are items like pram, baby blanket, diaper cakes or baby gift baskets, these items are very useful and new parents need such stuff.
