Preadoption Shower

I understand the idea of waiting in some cases but i am struggling with this one. just a note: they have no family in town to run out and get essentials when the babies arrive. Jill, We just went through this with my sister. She brought home a baby on January 1st and it bacame "final" today. My best advice is talk to your best friend. My sister wanted to wait until the 30 days were up. I'm not sure your best friend's situation but I would talk to her. If your concerned with her not having the necessities, why not throw a small intimate party for now with her close friends for the needed items. Then, throw her a big shower.
