Planning a baby shower for adoptive baby

The birth mother has 30days from the time of birth in which she is allowed to take the baby back if she changes her mind. Would it be best to have a shower as soon as possible since my friend needs everything, or should we wait until after the 30 day period in case the birth mother changes her mind?? Also, do you think we should tell her about the shower? Any other suggestions on how we should word the invitations or ideas for the shower are greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Andrea
