Twin Boy Names

A friend is having twin boys...any good names to suggest? (Both first and middle) Here are a couple of ideas:

Ammon Trace & Anthony Todd
Skyler Zane & Kyler Zack
Caden Hunter & Conner Jade
Logan Cole & Lyndon Joel

Goodness! I think I could go on and on...I guess I am also seeking insight if these names are good. Suggestions are great, also.

Thanx,
Stephanie

Stephanie - please tell your friend to break away from the ryhming names! Imagine how many times she'd have to repeat herself because the kid can't understand who she is are talking to. I had some friends growing up who were named Sharon and Karen, and they hated having such similar names. It is cute on paper, but not in real life.

One of the things I've always heard twins say is that they are always fighting to assert their individuality, so by all means... give them different sounding names. I like Logan, Caden and Zach. I've also gotten some good suggestions for my son which include: Sawyer, Bridger, Elijah, Hayden, and Victor.

Thanx for the reply! VERY good suggestions! I don't really like ryhming names, either. I had twin cousins who were names Leon & Delon. Their sisters, who were also twins were names Denise & Dianne (much better, I think.)

Another set of names I came up with yesterday:
Caden John & Conner Joseph.

It seems they are very different, yet similar...distinguishing them as twins.

Stephanie

My cousin has two boys and their names are Conner and Collin, and she is kicking herself now because they are so similar. I think if it were me, I'd stay clear of names that start with the same sound.

My son's name is Cameron Hugh, but if I had another boy I'd probably name him Victor Antonio or Antonio Alexander

Skyler & Kyler - no, no, no.

'Cade' has always been a personal favourite - was one of Scarlett's beaus, Gone With The Wind. So I like 'Caden'. 'Connor' might be getting too overused? 'Jade' is a very popular girls name around here, tho I do like the combination Caden Hunter - Connor Jade. Different enough, but still have a common thread.

My other long-time favourite boys name (which I won't ever get to use!) = 'Tighe'

Good luck to your friend!

Names

ALWAYS my favorite subject. Names should be something that will last a lifetime and fit the person throughout all stages of their life.

Twins deserve their own identity. They will have enough connection to their twin without people thinking they're a set. I like names in the same vein, but not rhyming or rhythmically similar names. I would just pick names I like and then see what works well together.

I like names that are unusual but not weird. Sawyer, Bridger, Hayden, Elijah - those are some of my favorites. I also like Jackson - which is starting to get popular -- something that pushes me in other directions. I like Dashiel (Dash, for short), Atticus, Paxton, Heath, Adam, Troy, Frank. Boys' names will be men's names someday and should sound right.

I also like surnames as first names: Shepherd, Stockton, Foster, Barrett, etc. There's a world to consider when choosing a name for a child because it helps shape their identity and how they are perceived by society. If there's any doubt to that tidbit - what's your first impression of a boy named Percy or Shirley?

Take your time in deciding. And enjoy!

Twin Names

I'm a twin. PUH-lease, no rhyming names and even the nameswith the same first letter aren't really helpful. Believe me, it is hard enough sometimes being a twin without at least having a name to yourself, and yes, even a letter. Sometimes that's all we have to ourselves. We always have to share, so don't worry about that; same birthdays, always having to consider what the other person wants or wants to do, being a twin . . . it goes on forever. At least give them a very individual name. JMHO.

Any more great suggestions?

Well. It has been a long while since I first posted this thread. The twins I spoke of, their names became James and Jarren. (Sadly, they both passed away, soon after birth. )

Now, on to other boy twins, that another friend is having, and they may be being born very shortly.

I still like my original suggestions of Conner and Kaden (change the C to a K in Kaden...then it distinguishes them a little more.) Though, I have a cousin that named her daughter Kaden. What's up with that? Guess I won't ever be able to use that name, as a boys name...in our family.

Anyone else interested on giving suggestions? I agree with one post, you REALLY can't name a child/ren until they are born, and you can see them face to face.

And also a name should be unique to an individual...not something to 'match' or 'go with' someone elses name.

Thx again for all the suggestions..
Stephanie

My best friend had twins a few years ago, boy and girl...she named them Kylee and Kayson..

I think the name Kayson is cute

Maybe even Cayson...if you like C names.

When my son was born, I had a name picked out for him...and it had been picked out for several months...then he was born and he just didnt look like the name I picked, and I ended up coming up with another name...and I am so glad

I have twins, was never lucky enough to name them although told I could.

But, I was once told to toss the baby name books, pull out an atlas and find names. I have to agree. Dallas, ( well maybe not), Austin, Carson, I know a child names Vegas ( a momento to where he was concieved).....just some thoughts.

I have a Keyan Andrew....that was not a planned name, the hospital called when he was about a month old, said I had to name him...so I told his Dad and my daughter..."NAME, Fast???" My daugher said Keyan, the Dad said Keyan Andrew.... he fits it, and loves his name. Each child should be an individual...IMHO Teresa

Lightbulb 2 boy names hmmm

I think Braeden Patrick and Keigan Lyle

I like names though that have to due with something the parents love like favorite time period or books or places and especially names that give a connection to the family.

Good luck
