If the initials are ESP, is it a problem?

Names are so tough! I'm bad at making decisions anyway, so there's a lot of pressure on this one. DH and I like an E first name and our last name starts with P. Would it be bad to have the initials ESP for a boy?

I don't think so. It would be interesting, but not embarrassing. Also, monograms are usually done with with the last name in a large font in the middle, so it would actually look like EPS.

now if your last name started with an "S" and you picked Alexander Steven S____, I would advise to choose a different middle name!

Good luck, naming is a fun yet exasperating process (at least, it was for dh and I).

My initials spell 'HAM'. I have managed ok. lol.

I never really thought about the monogramming, but ddhuab is right - the last initial is usually in a larger font in the middle!

There is nothing wrong with ESP. I know someone whos initials are BAD (his mother jokes with him that she knew he would be a bad kid and get into trouble so she would start him early)

Talking Kids will be Kids

Don't worry about it...unless it spells pig...rat...alien from mars etc LOL My mom though she had played it safe..our last name starts with E. So I'm S.S.E. OR as the wonderful children at school came up with"The S.S. Elliott".

My brother wants to give his daughter(if he ever gets to have one) the initals of A.C.E. So of course he can call her ACE LOL

have fun with it and don't stress

How the heck should I know... do I look psychic or something?? LOL! I had to say it, I had to say it!!

I really don't think initials are too bad, unless they spell something negative out. Like the example someone gave earlier.

As a kid, I don't think we ever used our middle initials for anything other than standardized tests, etc, so I didn't know my classmates middle initials and they didn't know mine. I don't know if it's the same today.

I actually think they're cool initials, but I'm not the one who will have to live with them. I bet E would be okay with his initials being a conversation starter.
