Traditional or Not...What are your kids names?
The only one I got to name was Kennedy Alexis
Stepdaughter is Hailee Brook "pretend" Daughter is Echo Hope..(she hates it...lol)

We're hugely traditional: Nicholas Joshua.
Joshua is my Husband's name and it's traditional on his side for the boys to take their father's first name as their middle name. Girl names we considered were Jane and Caroline. See, uber-traditional... rather boring.

Daughter is Rachel Amelia
--named after my mom, my grandmother and great grandmother Son is David Matthew --named after husbands grandfather and my oldest brother Daughter is Trinity Quyana --my mom picked Trinity and Quyana means thank-you in yup'ik (my daughter is half yup'ik eskimo) So, we were very traditional on the first two, MUCH less so on the third. But, if Trinity had been a boy she would have been Lucas or Nathaniel with Joseph as the middle name.

I think names are hard too Teekay. We are expecting to adopt a baby girl in january and I'm stuck. I was hoping some of these would inspire me.
I also love hearing what everyone has named their children....don't we all name our kids when we're kids ourselves anyway? In addition, it's interesting to see where those names come from... Keep 'em coming everyone.........

My son is Jerrett Hayden Bradock - Bradock is the "family name" which I don't really care fo.
We have names picked for the next on - but I'm not ready to share  They are equally unique.

Our daughter whom we adopted from Guatemala was
Maria Rene (Given by social worker) Maria - Long awaited for child Rene - A second birth; a second life When we adopted her we changed it to Mia Rene Mia - God's possession; (literally means 'mine') My wife is entering her 9th month with our baby boy (Jan. 23). His name will be Carter Boaz Carter - Industrious; Hard Working Boaz - (From book of Ruth) - "with strength"- though we named him this because of the character Boaz displayed in the Bible.

A unique girls name ( I went to high school with her) that I've always liked is Sayelle.
