I love this thread. My son's name is...

Kaleb Alfonzo Julien

Kaleb - I just loved this name and score it's an Old Testament name too with a different first letter.

Alfonzo - was my father's middle name that he used as his first. So I've now started a family tradition. The eldest son gets the middle name Alfonzo. My son better keep the tradition going with his son.

Julien - For the longest time I couldn't decide if I should name my children with the letter "K" or "J" so when I decided on "K" I just couldn't let the "J" thing go.

My son goes by Jory, which is a nickname of Julien from VC Andrews' series "Flowers in the Attic."

Now that he has three names, I've decided all his future brothers have to also so they will be:

Kalen Alexander John-Benedict (John-Benedict is in honor of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI.)

Kaler Anthony J? - I'm still working on that J name

Kale Asher Judah - I went all Biblical with the middle names.

I'm paperchasing for my little girl and I'm having a hard time choosing between

Katarzyna McKell Elphaba Thrower or

Kailyer McKell Ephaba Thrower

Katarzyna - a co-worker from Poland has this name and I fell in love with it. I thought it meant something super exotic, but it's just the Polish form of Catherine.

McKell - a name I found in a baby book that I liked.

Elphaba - I saw "Wicked" fell in love with the Wicked Witch of the West. She was so misunderstood.

Thrower - is a family name on my dad's side of the family.

Kailyer - (rhymes with Tyler) I saw it in a baby book for a boy's name. I changed the spelling and thought it sounded more like a girl's name.

My other girl names:

Kieran Isabella Desdemona - I've always loved the first two names. Desdemona for the strength shown by the character in "Othello."

Karseyn Shalea Antigone - I've always loved the name Karseyn. Shalea is the Jewish name of my old boss' daughter. And Antigone after the title character in the Greek tragedy "Antigone."

I'm a big reader, if you couldn't tell by my daughters' second middle names.

I like how you spelled Kelcee's name. We have a Kelci Lynn. We thought that spelling was more feminine than the more traditional way and that was important to me as my first three kids are boys.

Heart My Baby Names

Spencer Michael-Rion

Spencer-Dispenser of goods. Boy does he...always giving me lots of kissies and luvvins!
Michael-He who is like God. My child was known before he was even planted in my womb.
Rion(pronounced Ryan)-"Little Ruler" Ask his little sister if this one fits...I'm sure she'll agree!

Cameron Jocelyn-Anne

Cameron-"crooked nose" My lil' girl has the most perfect button nose! So this one bombed!
Jocelyn-Happy, joyful. This is definately right on key! I wanted Jocelyn, because it was for my Gramma Joyce, and my Papa Terry Lynn.
Anne-Full of grace. And she sure is!

(When my DH adopts Cammie Jo, we are changing her name to Cadence Jocelyn-Dawn, or Cadence Jocelyn-Alex; For the beautiful music and light that she has brought to our lives! And then she will be Cady Jo!)

JohnPatrick Patton

John-"God gave" How true is this? God gave him to me for Ted and Nathalie!
Patrick-after Saint Patrick - patron saint of Ireland, so that he would carry some of his roots with him, where ever he may go.
Patton-Warrior. And that's the spirit you need to get through life today! I had a wonderful friend that helped me through my pregnancy whose last name is Patton, also.

As for my future children with DH, We had a miscarriage, but our baby was to be named Brentan Alex Connor. I just love this name! I love Gunnar, but Ronnie hates it! He says that we should name him "Billy Bob" and buy him lifetime membership to the tractor pulls! ROFL! I still haven't give up on it! I want to name our little girl something traditional Polish, to keep with DH's family tradition. Our last name screams "POLLOCK!" So, I want something that reflects it as well. Maybe y'all have some suggestions, since we will be trying in December/January time frame. What do you think of Olesia? It is Polish for "Defender of mankind". Not bad for a lil' girl concived after her daddy came home from the war! LOL

God Bless,
Tiffany & Co.

Happy Mommy's Day to ALL!!!

Our kids are:
Nikolos Mathias
Sofiya Marisa
Anatoli Michael
Anna Melaniya

We took the Russian spelling for their American names....BTW Anatoli's birth name was Alexander, we loved Anatoli (Tolya for short) while in Russia and picked that for our beautiful baby boy.

No kids of my own to list (not yet anyway ) But my family does have a penchant for "different" names.

Sister- Rochelle Trene' (goes by Trene' Constanly gets called Irene Truh-nay)

Brother- Robert Sean (Sean wasn't very popular when he was named..Everyone called him Cee-an)

Sister- Shana Siobhan (Shan-ah NOT Shaina Shavaughn)

Me- Kirstin Amber (K-ear-stin)

Niece- Kessa Rose

I LOVE my niece's name because it is easy to spell AND pronouce but you don't come across it every day!

Our first is Henry.

Our second is Elliot.

I didn't realize until the baby was 5 months old that I am the mother of two boys whose first initials spell out "HE". So I call myself "HE-Mom" because I'm the mother of two "he"s.

b4truth - my hubby's great-uncle was named Ransom. (He had a twin or brother named Haskell.) I love that name. The family is from the south.
