Hi Stacy, I pop in at your journal every so often! I totally missed the arrival of your second son!! Congratulations! By the way, I like both your kids names.

I hope that you'll get your little girl very soon!!

I love unique names and can't wait to pick out a girl's name!

My son's name is Jason Michael. DH wanted Michael as the first name but I knew so many people by that name with our last name that I didn't want to name DS that. DS wants to name the baby we'll be adopting from China Jessica because he wants her to have a "J" name like he does. I was favoring Samantha but may go with Jessica.

WOW! Jasonsmom, that was the name my sister gave her son when he was born before she gave him up for adoption. (birth name)

I see a trend of Matthews and Scotts here. My son's name is also Matthew, Middle name Scott. (at birth)

My oldest daughter's name was going to be Rebecca, that is the name her father and I had chosen. However, after she was born, and he wasn't around, I named her something different. I loved that movie "Savannah Smiles". And I told myself I would call my first born daughter, Savannah. Close enough, Anna. My youngest daughter goes by her middle name also. She was named after someone in the family too. I got traditional names.
My parents struggled to find a name for me. They had lots of pressure from the family to name me after someone in the family. But my Dad hates the idea. After picking my first name, they couldnt find a middle name. Until one day in the parking lot at Grand Central, they heard some girl holler her friends name across the parking lot. Sounded good to my parents, so I got the name. lol
YES, I have to agree, naming children is not easy. But you all have done a wonderful job nameing them. It sure would be hard to go through life being called "baby". lol
I like the uncommon names. I work with this girl that has a pretty name, I just cant pronounce it. lol
Ever find yourself nameing your child before he/she is born, then after they are born, you change their name? Been there, done that.

Names is always a fun topic!

Our children are
Chelsea Kay - Bio ( Kay after my God Mother)
Cody Thomas - Bio (Thomas after my Father)

We tried for many years to have more bio children without success. When we decided to adopt we wanted to adopt AA or Biracail children. We needed plan on naming our first 2 with "C" names, it just happened. When we were matched with our 1st adoption & began choosing names our son, then 10 said that the name HAD to begin with a "C". He said, "The baby will be adopted & Black. If the name isn't a "C" name they will feel left out" Sooooooo...

Cylie Elizabeth (Pronounced Kylie. Elizabeth is her Bmom's middle name & also BMom's Grandmothers name)

Cirrah Emani (Pronounced Kira. Emani is the name her BMom gave her. We call her Cirramani though.

Caleb Noah Nicholas. Noah after "Miracles Happen To Those Who believe & Nicholas is the female version of his BMom's first name.

We are adoption again. It will be a boy. These are the choices we have so far....

Caden, Cavon, Cooper, Caemon, Camran, Cellan, & Cyler

Deb,
You are adopting again...woohoo..congratulations. We met a year or two ago on the domestic adoption threads. We have 1 bio, and 2 beautiful biracial children through domestic adoption and we are now awaiting our little miracle girl from china.

I love your C names...how about... Colt/Colton, Conner, or Carter.

Just thought I'd throw some C names out there. When does your little guy get to come home?

WOW Stacy!! We did think of Colton, Connor AND Carter! LOL But we had to narrow the list down alittle! LOL

This time we are adopting through the state. It should be VERY SOON that our son is HOME! We don't know who he is yet though. Our SW said it will be in a couple months or so. Depending on his age, we may not be able to give him a "C" name. Maybe if he's older & wants to, we'll choose one with him that he likes.

London Nicole =3 year old fraternal twin
Kodie Nicole =3 year old fraternal twin
Kodie was origanally supposed to be slept Cody like the male, but her father wanted it spelt with a K cause he said K was more feminine. But I dont think it matters either way.

My sister lives with us and has 2 daughters as well. They are 2 and 3. The 3 year old who is a few months older than my twins is named Paris Frances Marie. yes I know it sounds like Paris France lol. And the 2 year old is named Dijonae pronounced (Dijon like the mustard then Ay. So its DeeJohnAy)

We are expecting a baby in late september and were thinking of Either Eloise after the books "Eloise at the plaza" or Dakota after "Dakota Fanning" if its a girl. We have no clue for if its a boy.

My kids are both Cambodian-born.
Our first is Samuel Eric. His first name is an acronym. My DH and I couldn't combine chromosomes, but our initials work:Sandra And Mark United En Lavi, which is Creole (the native tongue where we live) for "One Life".
Eric is my husband's grandfather's name. He died when my husband was a child.
My daughter's name is Chamroeun Jada. Chamroeun is a Khmer name meaning, "successful at everything" and Jada is my mother's name, Janet, combined with my husband's mother's name, Linda. She's called Cj.
We had the hardest time picking Cj's name. We were so certain that our referral would be for a boy (don't know why...just felt that way) that coming up with a girl's name, just in case, took a long time. We debated for ages, then finally agreed. I noted the date. Later, we realized that this was the actual date she was born.

My Bson was named Joshua Matthew, and it was changed to Jason Earl when he was adopted.

My other two children are named Clint Alan and Chelsea Ann.

I have 4 bio children....2 step children...and 1 adopted. We are now fostering a little girl and her brother.

Our childrens names are:
Bio Children:
Angela Bryn (28)
Janna JoLynn (26)
Michael Andrew (25)
Emmily Josephine (23)
Step children:
Michael David (25) yes...we both have Michaels...lol
Christopher Lynn (22)
Our adopted son: Rontae Alexander (2)
IF we get to adopt our foster children, we will probably change the little girls name...she's got the same name as one of our daughters...and we already have 2 Michaels...lol.
