What do you think of: Emerson (boy)
What do you think of Emerson, for a boy? I am worried that since Teri Hatcher named her daughter Emerson, it is coming to be associated more with girls and not with boys.

Emerson is a strong name, I like it. However, to be honest, the first thing I thought of when I read Emerson, was the electronics line of DVD players, CD players and such with the brand of Emerson. School can be cruel for kids at recess. . . If Emerson is the name you choose, prepare your child for quick comebacks if he gets harrassed during recess.

I love the name Emerson; I think of it as a boy's name.
I am a 19c. lit scholar, though, and I first thought of Ralph Waldo Emerson as the inspiration for the name.
My friend has a brother named Walden -- another name that sounds literature inspired to me. D.
