I have to agree with evildishrag. While twins have a unique bond, as they near teenager-dom, they yearn for their own identity. I taught at a school in a rural setting ten years ago. Some of the kids preferred to go by their middle names. Here are some names of twins I came across. While some may seem far fetched, they are indeed real!
Kayla and Kyla (way to similar)
Shane and Shawneya
Ethelyn and Etheleen (yes, they do indeed sound like gases)
Tiffany and Trina
Lance and Logan
Ryan and Bryan
Davis and Tavis

We picked names for twin girls...Makenzie Donna and Madison Grace. Donna is after my sister who died from breast cancer.

My friend has two girls who are 15 months apart and their names are Makayla and Makenzie and they go by Kayla and Kenzie. I think it is darling and if I had twins I think I would want to do everything alike as much as possible before they were old enough to make choices for themselves.
