Smile The name Kayla?

Who likes the name Kayla and who doesn't? I think it's nice...And some suggestions for middle names to go with it would be nice!

kayla

Too common of a name for me. I dislike picking a popular name, I want something special and unique for each of my kids. We choose names that are not off the wall, but are not common.

Thumbs up

Really? I don't think Kayla is a common name. I've only met one person with that name, and I thought it was beautiful. Still looking for a middle name...something short and pretty but not common. Thanks for suggestions!

check out this website

http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

it's the social secuity administration's website for baby names.

it gives the exact popularity rankings and number of children with a given name in a given year.

if you decide to stick with Kayla, try to find a one or three-syllable middle name.

good luck!

Kayla is a pretty name; it's quite a common name in my part of the world; I'm a pre-school teacher, and I've taught many Kaylas... a less common variation is Kaylen or Kalyn, which I think is also very pretty. My mother's middle name is Kaye (the 1950s version of Kayla ).
I think you should choose a name you like, regardless of how common (or uncommon).
Best wishes, ~ Sharon

I don't think Kayla is so popular that it is over used. Not like Jennifer, Michael etc. (not to say those aren't nice names too!)

Besides, it's what you like that counts and it is a pretty name.

I have a not so common name and as a kid nobody had the same name as I do. Sometimes I liked being unique, but other times I wanted to have a more common name. At least a name people could say correctly! Think everyone goes through that at some point in life and it's really who you are as a person that is the most important.

If you like it, I say stick with it. If you do want to add a more unique name, then maybe the middle name can be that one.

Kayla Lee? or Leigh?

I think it sounds good together. Is it to common?

Here is another one of those name sites to browse.

Good Luck, Joyce

Like Kayla, and Mikaela too...

A middle name would depend on your last name, I kinda think the whole name should sound good together.

Good luck!

Kayla Joy
Kayla Anne
Kayla Lynn
Kayla Renee

I like Kayla Marie and Kayla Rose.....not so sure The longer names have the same ring.... My MaKayla likes Kayla Anne (but I think that is because mom is Anna)

Kayla Marie - sounds ok, but both are common
Kayla Rose - ditto above
Kayla Tayler (Taylor?) - Taylor is trendy so it's not my style -- also, i dislike the kre8iv spelling, Tayler. another thing to consider is that the cadence isn't very good because both are two syllable names, with the long A sound, and the same stress -- KAY-la TAY-lor

Kayla Leigh - this is my favorite -- Leigh is a classic and very pretty.

here are some other suggestions

Kayla Solenne - so-LENN - french for serenity

Kayla Lianne

Kayla Ciel - see-EL - french for sky

Kayla Sarai - sa-RYE - original hebrew form of Sarah

Kayla Mirelle - muh-RELL - yiddish form of Miriam

Kayla Eliane - elli-AHN - hebrew for the Lord is God
