A gentleman in our community is named Ben Dover. My husband has a classmate named Rose Bush and knew a dentist named Dr. Toothacher. How about Chantilly Lace and Olive Pitts?

My maiden name is Hunt, and several of my realtives wanted my folks to name me "Treasure".........thank GOD they didn't!
My OB/GYN office has several doctors in practice there, two of which, I kid you not, are Dr. Beaver and Dr. Box.
There is a girl who is presently enrolled in our school named Stormy Winter.

Oh, Also....

My husband's fathers name was Richard -- of course his friends called him ****...perfectly understandable. Anyway -- he was a bowler, and right before he died, his team won the state championship. They had jackets made for all of the team members, and Richard's arrived at the house, shortly after his death. Embroidered on it, in huge white letters, it said, "State Champion D - I - C - K"!!!! LMAO
I can just imagine the jokes among the good old boys on his team!
Smiles,
Sal

I almost forgot one of my favorites. There is a doctor in Houston named Dr. Frankenstein. Can you imagine?

And there is also a psychiatrist there named...Dr. Looney. That just cracks me up!

We have the WORST kids hospital name here in Halifax......

I. Will Killum Children's Hospital

They have had sense enough to use the acronym IWK Children's hospital as the "official" name!

Several years ago there was a high-ranking attorney at the United States Department of the Treasury in Washington DC, named Gay Hoar. I always wondered if she had become so accomplished because of the courage and fortitude she must have developed carrying that name.

Wink

My hubby's grandpa's name was Richard but shortened to the less desirable nickname. the last name was Payne. YIKES! Why would anyone in their right mind allow themselves to be called D*** Payne everyday? My hubby was ever-so-fortunate to be named after this grandfather but thankfully hardly anyone calls him D***. Not a good name for a Pastor!!

I knew a Rose Bush once...

Since our last name is Cook, my husband used to say that if we had a son, we should name him Yan Can.

My best friend named her twins (boy/girl) Jackson and Jillian. Poor kids.

My mom used to have a job in the 50s, I cant remember what the job was, but it involved phonebooks. She never forgot this name because she could not imagine there were 3 of them!!
his name: Totenpeevee Heffelfinger III

Also, my ex husband went to school with a : Harley Davidson

My current husbands bone doctor: T.P McWEENEY

I think he must have HAD to make something of himself, having lived with teasing like " teeny peeny weeny"??

Some different names of people I've known: Tequila, Faith Hope Love (all on name), Pepsi, Bob & Rob Robertson (father & son), Hiawatha, Heaven LeStar, Honey & Treasure.
Our last name is Brown, so as a joke I said I'd name my sons Buster & Charlie and our daughter, Honey (honey brown is a beer). Since I'm not allowed to name my children like that, I name my pets that way!!

There's some funny stuff in here - a lot of urban legend stuff as well - but I can't figure out what's wrong with the names Jackson and Jillian. Besides the fact I would not personally choose to name twins with same letter or rhyming names, individually, I think they're both beautiful names. Just proves everyone has a different take on what's funny, I guess.
