Questions
We are doing foster to adopt for almost 6 months now and from the beggining we are working with bonding. He is almost 1 1/2 years old and we are still giving a bottle of milk before a nap or going to bed at night. We, usually I give the bottle of milk, sing and rock him. He is doing so well, we think he is attach already. Ok the question is : until when he needs the bottle?. The pediatrician told me several times that he doesn't need the bottle anymore, and the bottle before bed can damage his teeth. I told him we are working with bonding. Also he really needs a bottle of milk before go to sleep, habit!!. Thanks for your input.

If you think he is bonded then it may be time to start weening the bottle. You can always spoon feed him something in your lap. As for the teeth, what about water instead of milk or using a different kind of bottle rather then a baby bottle? He will need to learn to sleep without the bottle. Can you rock him to sleep instead?
