Thumbs up Attachment Therapist in PA

I wholeheartedly recommend Cheryl Walters in Lancaster, PA! She is the only ATTACH registered Attachment therapist in PA that we could find. I know it is a long distance for you (it's only a 2 hour drive each way for us!), but it would be worth it!

Best Wishes,

D

From what I understand, the best attachment therapist for teens in the country is Gregory Keck, of the Attachment Center of Ohio, and author of Parenting the Hurt Child. You can do an intensive there in OH. I bet they would know who might be able to continue the therapy in your area.

Healing teens with RAD is really hard to do, as I'm sure you're experiencing. I would really try to get to Gregory Keck, even if it is a hardship, because what greater hardship is there than living with an unhealed RAD kid?

Also, please check out the Attachment Disorder Network at http://www.radzebra.org. They've got an awesome list serve with very wise, compassionate, experienced (and new) parents of kids with RAD. I would lose my mind without ADN!

Post when you need to. This is very tough, and those who haven't lived the insanity really don't know what it is like. Who could imagine this, really?
