Signs of RAD in toddlers before adoption?
Greetings!
We are hoping to adopt 2 toddlers from Poland, up to 3 years old. They live in orphanages so I figure a lot of them have lack of attachment issues. What are the signs of attachment disorders in toddlers? Can you tell any of them before adopting a child from another country? Thank you |

Attachment Disorders in Toddlers
The attachment relationship develops during the first two to three years of life...so a toddler in the process. With two years in a Polish orphange you can expect some problems and will have some.
I'd read: Attaching in Adoption by D. Gray and Becoming a Family by Lark Eshleman You can find a checklist of behaviors to look for on my website at http://www.center4familydevelop.com/checklist.htm regards
