Adult Self-Help RAD Books
I am a 36-year old adult who is just now figuring out, as an adopted only child, that I have been dealing with the problems associated with mild to medium AD/RAD my entire life. I am slowly working through these articles, but I wanting to ask your collective experise for the following recommendation; What are the top self-help books for an adult in my position that wishes to learn about the disorder, and work on my own to heal the issues? It is hard to tell from just the covers or descriptions, but it seems most of the books I have seen listed are aimed at parents helping their children. Instead, I am looking for explanations and causes in childhood, but also for symptoms, diagnosis and (self) treatment in and for adults.
Thank you all in advance, and Happy New Year! |

Books
I don't think the books I can recommend would be helpful to you as they are technical books aimed at professionals. You may want to consult with a licensed mental health professional who has trainining and experience in this area. You can find such a person at Assoc for the Treatment and TRaining in the Attachment of Children
regards,
