Looking for respite?

I just received my license this week--good news! I am planning on doing respite as much as possible for several months before taking a regular placement.

Anyone looking for regular child respite care, who works with Arizona Children's Association, please let me know! I'll take up to two children, 0-18 years old, and I have a flexible schedule.

Let me know!

Monika

Also in Arizona...

Hello,
I'm currently in the process of adopting a 10 y/o boy. We are getting ready to sign the subsidy agreement. I have a question for everyone.
I have a new caseworker. Because of all of the confusion of the caseworker learning the ropes and all, our case kind of got lost in the shuffle. Now there has been a pretty big delay in our getting the subsidy agreement submited and we are not recieving financial help. I want to get retroactive maintanance payments from the time I signed the paperwork. If cps had not dragged their feet so much we would have had this settled months ago. Do any of you know if AZ pays retroacive payments, and if so to what time frame?

can I do it?

I want to foster/adopt but recently my 60 year old sister came to live with me and she is mentally handicapped but has not been declared that way by the state. I am going to sell my house and move into the one that was left to her but it only has two bedrooms. I am thinking of living in the living room and having the bedroom for the kids. Do you think they will still qulaify me with both those situations?

I am from Phoenix and been bouncing around these posts and found this one. I am hoping to get this site back up and active so those of us new to the site can learn things and maybe add things as well.
Merry Christmas and hope you all have the most wonderful holidays and 2006 possible.
