I have heard good things about them and have met a few caseworkers from there at a "Fun Fest". I have used Arizona Action For Foster Children for the past 10 years. They are in Tempe.

AASk in AZ

Hi there,

My husband and I just finished the adoption classes with AASK, and are pretty happy with them so far. If you have any other questions, let me know.

AASK classes

The classes are for those who are adopting through AASK, and are required for adoption or foster care through AASK. Contact AASK to find out when and where the orientations are (that's the first step). Their number is: 602-254-2275. Hope this helps.

AASK

WE WENT THROUGH (AASK) FOR OUR ADOPTION PLANS. WE HAVE NOTHING TO SAY OTHER THAN THEY WERE THE BEST. WE ENDED UP USING THEM FOR OUR HOME STUDY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. THEY HELPED US ALL THE WAY. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN DOMESTIC OR INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION. THERE FEES FOR THE HOME STUDY IS VERY REASONABLE AS WELL. VERY NICE PEOPLE TO WORK WITH.

Thumbs down

My couselor from my agency (out of business) suggested I check with them regarding a birthmom support group. I have Emailed them several times over the past year, and never recieved a response. Not even a "no, we're sorry but we dont have one" or "we dont know if anyone in the vally has one". So that shows me that while they value their money makers, they dont value anyone else.

Just my opinion though.

Because saying something through an email and over the phone are two totally different things. I wouldnt trust myself not to cry. The last thing i am going to do is grovel to an agency or anyone else for help. It is highly doubtful that they lost ALL of the emails.

I appreciate the response though. Thank you.

Lynn, I am currently enrolled in the PRIDE classes and although we had a rocky start with AASK, I'm finding things much more positive now. Have you started your homestudies yet? Feel free to PM me if you like!
