did you check the legal notices,?
did youwrite to the courts
did you sign waivers for identifying info.

Hi, Yes, I wrote to the courts in both New York & Arizone. They both say they can't help me. I am not getting anywhere because I was born in one state & adopted in another state. Feel like its not worth it to try anymore...I am emotionally drained. I get my hopes up to many times and I am always let down. Thanks for your advice...Lisa

Your name is familiar too. I think we have emailed before. I live in New York, Long Island. Where would I look fo rlegal notices. ? Arizona courts have told me they have nothing on my. My adoption was finalized in New York. I have worte letters to NY courts too & they can't give me any information. Its very frustrating. Thanks for any advice. Lisa

Hi, I am not sure if the legal notices would be in the az paper. It might be. You might be able to order the newspaper on film, via the "interlibrary loaning system"
Its arizona Business gazette. Come to the az board, and get the link.
Also then you'll know what name to order, and start a month before you were born, They might have published that there, to relinquish you for adoption.

Also consider joining a local search group. Where in ny were you adopted.? Was it long island?
they have the legal notices in the newspaper out there sitting right in the libr.
