NEW SCAM

A friend of mine was in contact with her via email (found her on a board). My friend told her that we wanted to adopt. She was interested so I forwarded Kim our parent profile, and she sent an email back to my friend and said it sounded nice, and would like to talk to us. Kim then sent me an email and said that she emailed my friend, and told her about her and what she wanted, and that she asked my friend to forward it to me. If we were interested to email her back. To make a long story short, she said she wanted us to adopt the baby that was already a few days old. Kim also said she had a 19 month old also, and she is 20 years old. I knew I couldn't take anymore chances of being lied to and getting our hopes up, so I had a couple of friends to email her interested in adopting. She told them that she hadn't had the baby yet. This was around August 10, and she said baby wasn't due till Sept. Well, we stayed in contact via email and she was leading me on, but acting like she was very busy with a new job. So I didn't contact her anymore bc I didn't want her to think I was pressuring her. Ok, well today, I was reading some posts and there she was! She posted a couple of days ago saying she placed about 4 months ago, and it was her first child. Just becareful, I don't want to see anyone getting their hopes up if they are working with her. I also announced to the board that she is a snert where she posted If anyone has any questions about her, please feel free to contact me. Sharron

adoption scams
Adoption scams are so painful to those in the adoption process. There is an adoption attorney working on networking information about adoption scams. Thanks for helping by posting this information.
