Looking for my mother's Birth family. Birth name was Ethel Affleck, born Oct.4, 1948 in Edmonton AB. Also have note on bottom of adoption record that in 1950 her birth parents also had another baby girl, also given up for adoption. Would really like to know if my mother's sister is still here in Alberta. Would like to have all available medical history.

Has your mother applied to the Alberta Post Adoption department to receive non-identifying information about her birth sister, and to place her name on the passive registry ????

This is the first step to take when looking for a sibling.

Next, is your mother interested in finding her birthparents?
or has she found them already?
