possible sibling
Hi
Regarding the possibility of this child being born in Alberta............As a sibling, you can register with the Alberta Government to receive what is called "Non-Identifying information" regarding the adoption of that sibling. Get the forms from http://www.child.gov.ab.ca/whatwedo/...0for%20Reunion under :Birth Sibling: It does not cost anything in Alberta to apply, so I would encourage you to complete the forms and mail them in. If they have no information about a sibling that was put up for adoption, they will tell you that. Regarding the possibility of this child being born in Saskatchwan.......... Here is the web page for Saskatchewan http://www.dcre.gov.sk.ca/services/f...tion/ado6.html If I understand it correctly, the siblings can place their name on the passive registry in Saskatchewan, but are not able to get non-identifying information without the birthmother's consent. Good luck! ~Shannon |
