A member of the adoptees birth family (birthmother, birthfather, birthsibling) has the right to register with the Post Adoption Registry Department - (Government)

Register to receive her non-identifying information, (non-identifying information is information such as what type of family she was adopted into, what the adoptive parents occupations are, if they had other children in the family at the time of the adoption etc. ) request the birthdate be provided to you. As well, registering yourself there (in the case where she may be registered there too) they would put you together.

Also, if are you certain that Thiessen was her birthsurname?
